Wordpress or Blogger?

I have a friend (yes, shocking) who has just switched from Blogger to Wordpress. I have thought about doing the same thing but wanted some advice. What are your thoughts? Blogger or Wordpress? Why? I want to know if I should switch. Come on, sell it to me. Act as if you work for the company. Why would I want to use your product?

*On a side note - not all of my Blogger blog names are available at Wordpress. That would mean I would have to change the place and possibly the name of my blog.

Design issue

Has anyone else noticed that there is a great deal of the above going on in design these days. I don't understand it. Can someone help me?

Every now and again I actually read the spam email that I receive. A few questions came to mind after reading one spam message I received this morning.

1. Who actually buys anything from a spammer?
2. Couldn't they pay a more experienced marketing team?
3. Why don't they spend a little more money on a better translator?

The following message is word for word. I received this message this morning. I have removed the hyperlink so that you would not be tempted to buy the medicine.

First Cletus and Now This...

A few weeks ago we announced that we woudl be adding to our quiver. This morning I was in my local Starbucks Coffee Company and met two men who were in town to scope out new locations for the future of Starbucks in Nearly, Canada. My office is in an area of town that is rapidly growing in retail establishments. If they decide to put a Starbucks near my office my office won't be my office. This has been a wonderful month! First the news about Cletus and now Starbucks! Maybe we will name our next child Guatemala Antigua Black.

Thursday is a good day

Last evening I received a laptop via the Brown delivery man. I have been waiting for this day for quite some time.

Today I sat in my favorite bagel establishment with my laptop. I had a two meetings with two different people and I never left the table. I was a true loiterer. I was there from 8 AM until 1 PM. I sent email. I read a few online articles articles. I communicated with a friend in Minneapolis and my father in Missouri. I downloaded some updates for different programs. I updated some things for the church web site. I worked on some notes for a class I am teaching on Saturday. I never left the table.

To top it all off...the bagel place now has peanut butter cream cheese. I know that sounds strange but it was really quite tasty.

and...and...The Office is on tonight!

Get your own nest!

I read about the cuckoo today. This bird does not build its own nest. It lays its egg in the nest of another bird. That bird is then held responsible for caring for the egg and raising the young bird. The young cuckoo is usually larger than the other baby birds. The cuckoo throws the other babies out of the nest so that she gets all of the food.

I am sure this would make a great illustration for something. What say ye?
