Do you want Joost?

Joost™ the best of tv and the internet

A few weeks ago I was selected to be a part of the official beta testing team for Joost. You may be saying what is Joost?

"Joost is a new way of watching TV on the internet. With Joost, you get all the things you love about TV, including a high-quality full-screen picture, hundreds of full-length shows and easy channel-flipping."

Joost beta testers were selected by Joost. Each tester was given three invitations to hand out at their discretion (I'm trying to make this sound important). I have three shiny invitations for three individuals who are able to express why they believe they should be invited? If no one comments I will salt and pepper the invitations and eat them.

I don't want one for the sole purpose of seeing you eat a virtual invite.

No thanks. I've thought of enough ways to waste my time all on my own.

I'm thinking it wouldn't work so well in the hill country of Southeast Missouri where the only option we have is a very slow dial-up. But, since you are able to take advantage of this "new way of watching TV on the internet", maybe you could give us your nice big, surround sound TV! Of course, we could only get 3 stations (until the leaves come out on the trees, then we only get 2 stations). So, nevermind.

I think I should get one because I visit your blog and get you some extra hits on it. I would also like to start watching the office, but am "serving the Lord" in other ways on Thursday evenings ...

We don't have a television, and will likely never get one. I'd love to have a way to promote brain rot via my laptop. Actually, that's the one thing I missed when I was sick with a bug and didn't have the attention span to read. Mindless entertainment can be good sometimes, ya know? But.....does it work in Canada? I know some websites (CBS, etc.) offer shows online, but only to those in the United States. If it works, and it compatible with a Mac, by all means, consider sending one my way.

Speaking about IPTV and getting TV via broadband, check out a free new live internet tv service called viewmy.tv. It allows you to watch internet TV channels live from all over the world. The channels are monitored by viewmy.tv for the availability and streaming quality for members to have the best service.
