Evangelism strategies

I am re-reading God is the Gospel by John Piper. The main point of the book can be summed up in this quote,

The gospel is not a way to get people to heaven; it is a way to get people to God.
How should this change our description of the gospel to an unbeliever?

Discuss....

man I'm hoping this doesn't change anything. The ticket to Heaven evangelism is a thing of the past....isn't it? please say yes...

ylmurph - i would be interested to hear the description of the gospel that you would give to an unbeliever. i would probably agree with you but i would be interested to hear it. would you mention heaven? why would an unbeliever want to go to God? just curious.

sorry - I've been away from the 'ol computer (and loved the "oil" video)

I would describe the gospel as the great news of our having the opportunity to be in a relationship with the God who loves us more than we could ever imagine....no matter what.
