I have this problem of partially reading books. This is my pattern of reading:
1. I hear of a new book that sparks my interest.
2. I purchase the book.
3. I read several chapters of the book.
4. I loose interest in the book because steps 1 & 2 have been repeated.
5. Steps 1-4 are repeated as often as step 1 occurs.

My name is Vince and I live in Colorado. When I drink coffee a brown ring forms on my bottom lip. A similar ring forms on the mug. It's worth the hassle. I love my wife more today than yesterday and our kids are growing on us. I am a church planter with Acts 29 and I am in the process of planting The Town Church.

I trust you are looking at the flowchart I just posted on book buying.
That should filter out a lot of your problems. That aside, it is ok that in addition to saying "help me I'm losing interest", you can say, "this book is crap and not worth investing more time".
